Easy to understand instructions to access the house which was beautifully clean and set out. Lovely pub with restaurant a 20 minute walk away and fabulous bakery next door. The house was also very close to Newton Park with cafe, park and amazing maze. Sheila, Lavinia and Alexis.
Stunning house, beautiful garden and gorgeous setting. We felt really at home and our 2 cockapoo dogs absolutely loved it, especially the beautiful lawned garden. The house was very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. We stayed during the 35 degree heatwave which was hard but was grateful for the quality fan left for us. The temp upstairs was extreme with very little air, even with the fan, so we had to sleep downstairs later in the week. The hot tub was gorgeous & relaxing in the evening. Very clean but the head pillows could do with replacing as had a musty smell and were pealing rubber. The kitchen was beautifully clean, spacious and luxurious. It would have been perfect if bin bags had been provided for all the bins as some were missing. A few suggestions to make it even better: * Sun loungers for the garden * A hook on lounge garden door to hold open * Hooks for towels on fence by hot tub * Bin in upstairs bathroom
Excellent property! The current details don’t do it justice; has a downstairs cloakroom, beautiful well looked after garden and the beds/linen are high quality. Parking has room for 3 cars if required. The hot tub was clean and ready to use. Lovely of a morning or evening to relax in. The garden is fully enclosed and therefore pet friendly. There are wooden stair gates at the top and bottom of the stairs inside to keep your furry friends and kids from wandering up. Pastries from the bakery pretty much next door are a must! Croissants are massive and so tasty. The park across the road is perfect for a nature walk. Only small piece of feedback is a few more plates/cutlery would be beneficial. A few extra bin bags etc. would be appreciated to help guests keep a property of this high standard tidy during their stay. Overall well worth a stay, definitely would return!
Beautiful place nice and private. Woukd stay again
We (two couples and two dogs) had a wonderful stay at The Coach House in Nowton. The cottage itself was extremely well-equipped and beautifully decorated, with luxurious touches and finishes. The private garden is a large and fabulous space to enjoy the outdoors, including a good-sized hot tub. It is in a very peaceful location, with wonderful views and zero traffic noise. Just opposite the cottage is Nowton Park, which served as a brilliant place to walk the dogs and enjoy nature. The lovely historic town of Bury St Edmunds is a short drive away, which is full of shops, pubs, and restaurants. Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here and we will definitely be back in the future!!!
The Coach House is absolutely beautiful and set in lovely surroundings. The house was immaculately clean throughout and the whole property is thoughtfully decorated. The garden with hot tub and barbecue area really made our stay feel like a holiday as we fortunately had beautiful weather. The front and back garden are secure so great for peace of mind when taking a dog. The host was communicative to questions and there were no hidden fees for the hot tub use and taking a dog which made the stay good value for money considering what others can charge.
Great location, beautiful property, Nowton Park is right on the doorstep, very peaceful, private and secure, could not ask for a better property to stay in. Will look at returning in the future, thank you for being a fabulous host!!
Fantastic property, clean, tidy and well equipped. Great location away from and really busy roads. Bonus of having an artisan bakers almost right next door. Twenty yards from the property to a pedestrian entrance into Nowton Park which was a fantastic place for walking the dog. Garden was fully enclosed and safe for dogs to be unattended. Hot tub was great and gets the best of the sun in the corner of the garden. Highly recommended and would book again.
Absolutely loved staying here.

Lovely place, perfect for dog lovers as the park opposite is huge with a cafe located at one end. Phone signal is very poor but there is WiFi which greatly helps. We ventured into the beautiful Bury St. Edmunds where there are plenty of pubs and restaurants to chose from and its literally 15 mins away Hot Tub was just lovely and well needed in the evening chilling with a drink. Everything was as described, just beautiful, unfortunately for us there was an incident on the last day when a Truck took out a tree and phone line, we sent photos of the incident to David Burr so he could make arrangements to repair etc for the next guests, but never got back to us, just to make sure we phoned the main office and reported it that way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there with friends and 4 doggies and would love to go back at some point. Couldn't fault this beautiful place.
