The Fox in the Box is a self- published children’s rhyming picture book written by David Burr sales secretary Amanda Gee, with illustrations by Lee Holland.
Says Amanda: “It’s essentially a very important message about friendship and looking after wildlife and the environment. It is aimed at young children just learning to read, but older children are enjoying it too.”
It’s for sale in local bookshops, Buckleys Tea Room in Castle Hedingham, Duck in Boots in Sudbury and The Blue Egg in Great Bardfield as
well as on Amazon.
Born and bred in Clare, Amanda
works at David Burr’s Castle Hedingham office and says that while very hard work, self publishing is “ultimately rewarding in the end.”
“The singer Rumer sent me a picture of her little boy with my book which made my day as I’m a fan of hers.”
“I am also going to be at several Christmas craft fairs including the Clare Christmas Fayre on 30th November and 1st December, “ adds Amanda. “I am writing another book - so watch this space.”
