Charity event in Sudbury, Suffolk

The “White Tie Glitz & Glam” dance night is to be held at The Delphi Centre in Sudbury on Saturday 28th December.

Organised by Philip Goodyer from our lettings team, and his wife, the event will raise funds for their chosen charity Upbeat.

The dance Big Band “Swing Machine” is returning to The Delphi Centre again this year after the very successful Masquerade Dance last year. This year’s dance will have a Hollywood theme with music and songs from the 1920s to the 1950s and Swing Machine’s female and male singers being supported by local singer Nettie Osman performing two sets of 60’s songs to really create a party atmosphere.

An evening to dress to impress with plenty of sparkle.

Tickets are available from the Sudbury Tourist Office in the library or direct from dancewithussuffolk@outlook.com priced at £17.50 each or directly from Phil on 07909 993799.

Successful vintage revival

A recent 1940 Vintage Revival Day at The Delphi Centre in Sudbury raised a combined total of £2195 of which £1302 was given to “UPBEAT” and £893 went towards a refurbishment fund for The Delphi Centre.

The revival day on Saturday 22nd June was a great success; the day coinciding with Suffolk Day Weekender. Following the outdoor day event, a 1940’s dance with The Glenn Hurst band played all the favourites from the ’40s in the fabulous ballroom at the Delphi, assisted by Mayfair Music with Steve during the band breaks a truly memorable evening of music, dance and nostalgia.
