Another plus is Trefloyne’s parkland course. It might not be as testing as the two links courses we played on our trip but it has some challenging holes including a signature par three which demands the most accurate of shots from an elevated tee onto a two tiered green above a pond. A severe dog leg par four to a green at the bottom of a dip was another good hole. Some hotel courses lack character but this one had us keen to play it again and - as a comparitively young course - it’s going to get even better.
Haverfordwest, about half an hour’s drive from Tenby, was another parkland layout on our intinerary. We liked the undulating holes that start and close this ‘
