Following the loss of our founder and friend David Burr in December 2022 we wanted to honour his wish to raise funds for the hospice, he would be extremely proud of what our friends and colleagues have achieved over the past year.
We started with a well-supported walk from Clare to Long Melford before Steven successfully completed the London Marathon in April. In August, Jack and Nick took on the Stour Valley Ultra, a 63 mile trek along the length of the Stour and the star of the show was our end of year Gala Auction where many extremely generous local businesses helped us to celebrate David’s legacy whilst raising over £20,000 on the night.
Thank you to everyone who has supported us, we have more events scheduled for 2024 and are looking forward to working with the team at St Nicholas Hospice again.
