Lewis joined David Burr having practised in the legal sector for four years prior and undertaking a Law degree at the University of Essex. He was appointed manager of our Bury St Edmunds office at the age of 24 after making the transition to property, while continuing to place a degree of emphasis on the legal aspect of property transactions as well as the care and attention required to progress them to a point of completion. Away from the office, Lewis has a fondness for the countryside and the sporting activities it has to offer, as well as being a keen footballer and runner. Read Less

Samantha joined David Burr after taking a career break to raise her three children. With her previous experience as a Senior Negotiator, she has re-ignited her passion for assisting clients with all aspects of their search for property through to completion. Sam takes pleasure in recognising the importance of establishing rapport and long term professional relationships to look after our client’s property needs on an ongoing basis. In Samantha’s spare time she enjoys producing and competing with her horse, supporting her children’s sporting activities and is also a skilled milliner, having showcased her pieces at Ascot and Cheltenham on numerous occasions. A member of NAEA Nick has been with the company since 2003 having moved back to the area from Canary Wharf, Nick now lives in the Suffolk countryside with his wife and daughter spending the majority of his free time walking his Cocker Spaniel Woody as well as cycling and running. In his younger years Matthew trained as a Quantity Surveyor although after careful consideration made the decision to pursue a career in Residential property. Having worked within the property sector for over a decade Matthew has experience in both Cambridge City Centre, wider Cambridgeshire and predominantly Suffolk markets having been with David Burr since 2014. Matthew has lived in Suffolk all his life and now resides on the Suffolk/Cambs border; in his spare time Matthew coaches junior football locally and the rest of his time is spent enjoying family life. A Branch Manager and member of the NAEA at the age of 23, Jack has been with the company since 2010 since obtaining his BA (Hons) in Contemporary History. With over a decade of experience valuing individual village and country homes, Jack is a familiar face within the locality and well regarded for his work with listed buildings, development opportunities and the conversion of agricultural buildings with many retained clients operating on the Suffolk/Essex border and Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Suffolk born and bred, Jack resides in Long Melford with his wife and twin daughters with his spare time spent running, reading and trying to moderate his temperament on the 5 a side football pitch. Julian has spent his working life in a customer-facing environments incorporating sales and training roles. After leaving the insurance industry he has worked within estate agency for the last 19 years, managing the Hadleigh office for a large nationwide agency and as Branch Manager at David Burr for the last five years. He prides himself on providing excellent customer service and going the extra mile for his clients, providing a calming influence for clients, purchasers, tenants and colleagues alike. One of life’s pragmatic, reasonable characters, Julian is regularly commended on his integrity, breadth of knowledge and experience in overseeing the day to day running of all aspects of estate agency.
Having surmised that the role of the Estate Agent is somewhat maligned, Julian takes great joy in being able to change people’s perception from time to time.

Samantha joined David Burr in March 2015 embracing a new career path having had a clinical roll in the National Health Service previous to this, following a 15 year spell in the city as an underwriter at Lloyds of London. The glue that holds the team together, Samantha is experienced in many aspects of estate agency including sales and lettings negotiation, bespoke marketing, viewing accompaniment and administration. In addition to a seasoned habit of up to 10 cups of tea a day, Samantha’s achievements include obtaining her private pilots licence, motorbike licence and other adrenaline driven activities such as parachuting and bungy jumping. Mark joined the David Burr team bringing 18 years of experience in sales and customer facing roles. Exceptionally reliable and always the first to put the kettle on, Mark brings his prompt and punctual approach to his day to day work which includes a proven track record in sales and lettings negotiations, accompanying viewings, sales progression and building strong relationships with clients, purchasers and tenants alike. Having lived on the Suffolk/Essex border his whole life, Mark has a great local knowledge of the area. Outside of work Mark enjoys playing golf and spending time with his family and Willow the Golden Retriever.

Mark have previously represented England in the sport of Tchoukball and in his 30s organised and completed a 3 day charity bike ride from Edinburgh to Sudbury (365 Miles) raising £1,000s for charity in memory of his mother. Read Less

Rachel joined David Burr in 2013 having worked for 18 years in commercial management in the West End of London. Overseeing the Letting & Management department, Rachel has extensive knowledge in all aspect of the business. Henry was made a company director in 2021 and has extensive experience in residential sales and lettings having worked in the sector for over 8 years in various markets including central London, the city, Essex and Suffolk. He obtained a first class degree having read Law at the University of Sussex and continues to take a keen interest in the legal aspect of selling and letting property. Steven considers himself very fortunate to have worked for most of his career alongside the company founder David Burr. He is particularly pleased that the traditional values centred around best practice that were so important to David in those early years are still very much evident throughout the company today.
