Bury St Edmunds Farmers Club

The Farmers Club is a members club situated in the very heart of Bury St Edmunds. Set within a fine period building, it comprises a business centre, bar and restaurant, a hugely historical lower lounge, private country gardens, summer terrace and secure car park.

Nowadays you definitely do not have to be a farmer to join the Club. Members are drawn from many walks of life, both town and country. The Club was founded in 1947 by a group of local farmers, merchants & professionals who wanted to provide a space for comfortable dining and meetings. Initially the Club was open only to men, with women restricted as occasional guests, where they would only be served drinks through a small hatch to the Bar… Yes really!

Thankfully times have changed and the Club today is a refreshingly elegant and relaxing sanctuary offering long standing traditional values of personal service and hospitality.

There is a great Front of House Team ready to welcome you:-

James Rogers – Operations Manager

Chloe Dewsberry – Duty Manager

Jamie Scott – Head Chef

Shaw Scott – Second Chef

Jane Maskell – Front of House/Business Development

Karen Thomas – Front of House/Reception
