Phil Goodyer from our Long Melford lettings team has been busy organising another charity event – this time his most ambitious yet.
Vintage Revival Day will be held on Saturday 22nd June from 10:00 am till 5:00 pm at The Delphi Centre, Sudbury. A full day of events, the Vintage Revival Day will raise funds for UPBEAT, the heart support charity for West Suffolk.
Celebrating the USAAF at RAF Sudbury
Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the 486 Bomb group USAAF which was based at Acton during the war, there will be a display of twenty 1940 military vehicles and pre-1960 vintage cars including American vehicles.
Live music will be provided by event singer Sarah Mai, who’ll be singing songs of the 40s and 50s, and the Swing Jive dancers will be dancing to “Chocs away for Dancing” with John Farr.
20 Vintage Stalls will be selling clothes, jewellery, memorabilia, herbs, toys, sweets and accessories. Ladies can have their hair and makeup styled to the 1940s on the day, by visiting our professional hair stylist in the Marquee.
If people want to dress up in clothes of the era, there is a great prize for Miss/Mrs Vintage and Mr Vintage.
A memorabilia display from 8th Army and 486 Bomb Group together with the Women’s Land Army (WLA) and the Sudbury Ephemera Society is also sure to be popular.
Vintage Amusements for all ages and food will be available throughout the day, including a licenced bar and vintage tea room.
