Don't miss out on these Christmas lights switch-on and markets

St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Christmas Market, 23-25 November

St Edmundsbury Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds host their Christmas Market from Thursday 23 November to Saturday 25 November. Doors will open between 10am and 4.30pm daily. Around 50 stallholders from Suffolk and beyond will be at the cathedral to showcase their products. You’ll get the chance to browse stalls while also taking in the beautiful and historic setting of this stunning building. In addition to the shopping experience, there will be daily entertainment for visitors.

Presents Galore, Newmarket, 24th – 26th November

Presents Galore makes its festive return at the home of racing’s Rowley Mile Racecourse bringing with it a stunning collection of gifts, food and drink stalls all in time for Christmas.
Opening Times: Friday 24th November – 4pm – 8pm. Saturday 25th November – 10am – 5pm.

Clare Christmas Fair, 24 & 25 November

Yueltide gifts and festive food and drink are on offer at the town’s fair held at St Peter and St Paul’s Church as well as Clare Town Hall. On Saturday November 25 there’s the Christmas lights switch on at 6pm with entertainment on the Market Hill from 4pm.

Thursford Christmas Special, until 23rd December

This one involves travelling to north Norfolk but it’s worth it. There might be no bigger seasonal celebration in the UK than Thursford’s traditional mix of circus, comedy, song and dance performed by a hundred plus cast. Steam engines and wurlitzers bring added nostalgia.

Murder Mystery Evening: Murder at the Hedingham Hotel, 8 December

Join Moonstone Murder Mysteries and Hedingham Castle for an evening packed with plot-twists, suspicious suspects and plenty of red herrings. You are the detective and it’s your job to crack the case before it’s too late. Activities start at 6.30pm ending just before midnight.
