Start your journey in Cavendish

Follow the river through Bures and Nayland
As you travel further along the Stour, the landscape becomes increasingly rural. Bures is a lovely village straddling the Suffolk and Essex border, with the river forming part of its character and history.
Further on, you reach Nayland, often described as one of the prettiest villages in the Stour Valley. With its historic buildings, independent businesses and attractive riverside setting, it’s an ideal place to slow down and enjoy the atmosphere.
