Sudbury Heritage Centre

Things to do in Suffolk: Sudbury Heritage Centre

An extensive display of Sudbury's history from ancient times to the present day.

If you’re looking to understand the history of this thriving market town, then Sudbury heritage centre is the perfect place to visit. As you enter, you’re greeted with a vast array of displays and panels with varying topics.

The centre has dedicated a generous amount of space to WW1 & WW2 displays and their relevance to Sudbury. The 300 Sudbury men and women who died in the two World Wars have their stories told on panels along with a WW1 bomb on display which was dropped in 1916 and has been recovered from the river.

Sudbury’s long history is on display throughout, and if you want to take some literature home with you there are multiple publications on sale at the Tourist Information counter within the heritage centre.
