A ground floor apartment set in the heart of Clare conveniently positioned for local amenities, Clare Country Park and countryside walks. No. 1 High Street was converted in 2022 to create a modern self-contained apartment ideally situated to explore Clare and historic local villages including Long Melford and Lavenham.

The space

Entering through a private entrance the open-plan accommodation greets you with a spacious kitchen/breakfast room stylishly fitted with a modern kitchen well equipped with extensive facilities. The raised breakfast bar offers seating for four people with an additional desk overlooking the High Street. Appliances include an integrated fridge, freezer, washing machine and slimline dishwasher, electric oven and four ring electric hob whilst there is also an integrated waste bin, a kettle, cafetiere and plenty of storage. The kitchen is open-plan through to the sitting room, a spacious room with full height window shutters creating a cosy area for watching television with a Samsung smart tv, L-shaped sofas and additional two seater sofa. The bedroom is well proportioned with a double bed with bedside tables and dressing area featuring a double wardrobe with hanging rail, clothes hangers and shelves all tastefully decorated with a colourful feature wall. The modern shower room features a WC, wash basin and tiled shower cubicle with a heated towel rail and shelves for toiletries. 1 High Street is the perfect base to explore the beautiful Suffolk countryside and the wealth of attractions nearby. There are three public houses within walking distance, a chemist, co-operative supermarket, excellent local butchers, bakers, café and many independent shops all just a stone’s throw away with Clare Country Park and the castle ruins approximately 150 yards. Parking is available in Clare Country Park which leads onto a network of countryside walks along the Stour Valley. Further afield Cambridge is approximately 30 minutes, Bury St Edmunds 25 minutes and popular villages such as Long Melford and Lavenham approximately 15 minutes by car.

Please note: If you require use of the sofabed, a travel cot, or a high chair, please let us know at least 7 days prior to your arrival.

Other things to note

Please remove dirty shoes or high heeled shoes on entry.
Please do not bring any candles, tea lights or incense sticks as they are not allowed at the property.
Please no smoking or vaping inside the property. Vaping will trigger the fire alarms.
We kindly ask that neighbours and local residents are not disturbed after 10pm.
No glitter please as even the most eco-friendly is impossible to remove from the soft furnishings and hard wearing floors.
