The village of Leavenheath is found on the Essex-Suffolk border, midway between the towns of Colchester and Sudbury.

Found next to the Dedham Vale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Leavenheath itself is a picturesque village with a number of beautiful properties.

There are two state primary schools within easy reach in neighbouring Nayland and Stoke by Nayland, while secondary education is provided at the Thomas Gainsborough School at Great Cornard. Private education is also available in the surrounding villages.
