Key Notes : Introducing our team ft Tracy from our Clare office

We continue our series asking David Burr staff their views on the property world and beyond. Here Tracey Chapman of the Clare office gives an insight into her work . . . and a sweet guilty secret.

What are you watching on television/reading at the moment?
I’ve been watching The Dig on repeat a fair few times. I must plan a visit to Sutton Hoo.

What do you like/or what annoys you about TV’s property/makeover shows?
How lovely it is to sit and dream, watching the inspiring, often unimaginable, transformations take place.  For us there’s no commitment, budgets or stress – but of course there’s always your opinion that has to be voiced at the television too!

If you could go to any sporting event in the world what would it be?
I’d happily attend World Strongman on Myrtle Beach in South Carolina!!! 😍

Favourite place for a day out in our region?
I love the Norfolk coast, especially Sheringham and Cromer.

If you could spend a year living anywhere in the world where would it be?
Team me up with a mahout in one of Thailand’s elephant rescue centres.

What do you love most about your job?
The variety.  No two days are ever the same. I like meeting our vendors and purchasers and aiding in listing and finding the home of their dreams, but best of all making it happen!  Some counselling does take place on many levels, and I’m always happy to listen. I’ve been known to shed a shared tear too!  The office, our dynamic, motivation and most of all team Clare.

What’s your favourite way to spend a day off?
A good pamper, maybe some baking, but most of all time spent with my family.

Favourite era/style of architecture?
Anything with interesting historical significance, but especially Tudor.

What advice would you give your teenage self?
To have taken those opportunities related to education – play later!

If you could trade places with anyone for a day who would it be?
Something I’ve never thought of, or felt the need – I’m happy enough being me!

Favourite song and why?
There’s lots of songs I love from different genres… I don’t have a favourite, for me it’s all about the lyrics.

You are hosting a dinner party or pub meet-up – which four celebs/ sports stars or historical figures would you invite?
Dalai Lama
Princess Diana
Elliott Gleave
And, of course, Dwayne Johnson!

What is your guilty pleasure?
Currently Cadburys Mini Eggs.
