Duxford Air Museum Spitfore

Things to do in Cambridgeshire: Imperial War Museum Duxford

IWM Duxford served as a base for many of the Spitfire and Hurricane pilots during the Second World War. Take the chance to see aircraft take off from this historic runway.

Every hanger and exhibition space showcases a huge number of aircraft, vehicles, and boats. Guests can walk around and, in some cases, get inside these historic vehicles. Some visitors will be lucky enough to see some aircraft take to the sky on the same runway where Spitfires first flew! There are action-packed weekend special air shows and flying events which shouldn’t be missed.
